Ulver: "...Alright. I guess we could use another helping hand, granted what we've seen so far. But I'm keeping an eye on you, for now." He relaxes and sits back down on a large rock. "Since we're out of trouble for now, tell us all a bit about yourself."

[11PM] Benny sheathes his weapon, but appears anxious. "We'd best not dilly dally in these woods for long. There are things worse than skeletons out here."

Thiida can tell that Multhane is telling the truth in regards to the fact that he does not want any treasure- mostly- for there is one thing in particular that he wants, though not even Multhane is sure what this item is. He also is telling the truth when he say that he wants companionship- though his reasons for this may be debatable. He seems to wish no ill will toward the party currently.
Multhane then turns to Benny and Thiida: "Ah, but who might this powerful warrior and.. potent young lady be?"

Thiidda: Takes a deep breath, satisfied with this person for now, and smiles respectfully. "My name is Thiidda." Her tail flicks around. "I'm an entertainer."

Ulver: Figures from her reaction that this man is alright enough. "She can do more than that. She's a talented rat, even knows some magic. But hey - she's under my protection while in my service, so I'm giving you a fair warning now that if anything happens to her, you'll be dealing with me." He speaks calmly, but solid enough to ward off trying to test his word. "...Now that that's out of the way - The old man is right, let's get out of here." He stands to leave and ushers Thiidda forward with him. "He's Benny, by the way. He knows these roads and the surrounding woods, as well as what they contain, apparently."

Benny smiles, "Scorpions, oozes, skeletons, wolves, and occasionally some more exotic things that go bump in the night. Speaking of which, we need to get to town before the fog rolls in. It's easy enough though, if you just follow the roads west."

[Skautch]

Ulver: "Then to the west we continue." He begins to lead them toward this town, keeping Thiidda at his side to help see ahead.

Amirrah, Harrima, and Multhane join them, with Amirrah casting lesser restore Eidolon twice (rolling a 2 the first time and 8 the second, plus five for level each time) in secret to heal Harrima

[12:30 AM] An hour and a half later, the party, with Benny in the lead, see firelight as they leave the edge of the woods, the smell of lake water, bread and meats cooking, and smoke fill the air. A gate, with a 15 foot-tall wall on either side lie in the middle of the road, 70 feet away.

Benny says, delightedly, "Ah! Been a while since I've been to town. I wonder if the mead's as good as I remember, or if Nelda's as pretty as ever."

The gates open and a man on horseback rides forth at a trot. "I thought you looked alive... What were you doing in the woods this late at night?"

[Skautch]

Ulver steps forward and speaks truthfully. "Sir, we seek shelter within your town. We were attacked by living skeletons earlier in the night, but we believe we have lost them. Please accept us, sir; we have an old man and young women among us, and I need to warn the head of your town of the danger they may pose if they return."

The man scratches his face. "You saw them too, then. It used to just be the crawling ones, they didn't really pose much of a threat. Now people have been finding small groups of the walking ones, armed."

"How many did you encounter?"

[Skautch]

Ulver: "More than I could count. When we ran, I swear it sounded like an army had amassed to follow us."

Thiidda: "There was a man on a horse, too - looked like it could have been their leader."

He looks alarmed. "An army? We've only encountered isolated bands thus far. I'll need to send word to the capitol. We're not equipped to fight an army."

-To Thiida- "What did this man look like?"

[Skautch]

Thiidda thinks for a moment. "...He was large, and had a lot of thick armor over him. He looked like another skeleton, but he was a bit different - the eyes were glowing... His horse was nothing more than a skeleton as well."

"And I saw someone else associated with them," Amirrah spoke up, "a necromancer, I think."
"And not a very good one at that," Multhane mumbled under his breath.

"Hmm, yes, we'll send word to the capitol tonight. Why don't ye lads and lasses sleep at the Stonejaw Tavern tonight. Tell 'em Haddard sent ya. But before I let you in, is there anything else I should know?"
