With a valiant slash of his blade, Eddie slays the last Worg of this room. If any more wolves remain now, they must lie at the end of a pitch-black tunnel that can be found at one end of the cavern. With these Worgs defeated, though, you are safe- at least for now, and this cave contains the corpses of wolves, a few scattered bones, and some grey mushrooms that drip with sludge to be gained.
Mathias speaks as he heals all of your wounds, through a combination of medical and magical means: "I believe that the cave beyond is where the leader of this pack lies, it would be wise of you to discuss a plan of action before entering."
