Dedrick asks, "This town does not have a greater than usual problem with my kind, does it?" He looks down to the floor, a tad ashamed of what he is, and how his kind can be treated.

"Not greater than usual, but I still think it best if you stay outside of their businesses except when absolutely necessary."
Finally, they arrive at the town of Nihem, with Ylbmig parking the cart in front of the local inn, the Dusty Mare.
"This is where you get off. I'm in town a day or two to resupply before I return to the Capitol, so feel free to ask me any questions you may have about this place, I've been trading between here and the Capitol for a few years, now."

Sarendi, barely paying attention to the conversation, takes the satchel. She barely turned to look at everyone else and said "I'm Sarendi." Sarendi had no interest of giving any more information than that. "The quest sure sounds interesting."

Birdgod flew to the Elfs shoulder and said "whoever goes on the quest i will join!" Then turned to Mathias and said "tell my dad when you see him that i will one day be able for him to call me a true godbird, and a man!!"

Eilen hops off of the cart and makes a small bow toward the dwarf. "Thank you for bringing us this far." She takes a look around, everything in sight obviously designed for creatures larger than herself. "...I hate to ask such an open-ended question, but could you tell me about this place? I haven't been to many towns like this before..."

"Well," the Dwarf began, "I'm not sure if I'm really qualified to talk in detail on the subject, but I do hear things. For example, I hear that when the Dragon Empire made this town, it was supposed to be a way-point for mobilizing soldiers in the west, in the days of war against the Wastelanders. But then the Unified Wastelander Forces crumbled, and the Empire turned their resources southward. This town emptied pretty fast, now that the empire doesn't need it, and the people had to learn to survive on their own, rely mostly on trading lumber and food across the border to the Dwarves for whatever they can't provide, including protection, when they absolutely need it. But despite their initial difficulties, they do pretty well for themselves. They have a wall, not much to look at but it deters some thieves, a decent inn, though at the Dusty Mare you really do get more dust then you do ale, they got themselves a blacksmith, and a store, and a mage, though most folks in the town don't trust him, on account of him being an outcast from Alamir lands, a temple, an obelisk, a mine, though they don't use it much anymore, now that they don't need weapons here for the war, some nice woodlands, a few farms, and plenty of property for sale, in case you'd ever want to set up shop in the middle of nowhere."

Though Eilen's mask hides it, she is rather interested. "Wow... That's a lot more information than I was expecting to hear. Thank you." She reaches into one of her patchwork coat pockets and digs around for a moment. "...How much gold do I owe you for our journey?"

"Nothing at all, all of your fares were paid up front, by a single benefactor."

"Oh, well thank you again, sir Ylbmig." She bows slightly once more. "May your spirits be with you on your travels." With this, Eilen turns and enters the inn's so seemingly tall doorway.

As Eilen and the others enter the inn, they are greeted by its proprietor, a middle-aged human woman.
"Hey there, what brings you to our little town? I'm Andra, by the way."
Then, looking at the Draconian, she smiles.
"Welcome back Eddie, it's been a while."

Sarendi looks around the inn, not bothering to reply to Andra, expecting some other member of the group to instead.

Birdgod looked at the lady and turned into a human and said " hay pretty lady. I'm new here and I think your the prettiest lady I've seen in my life!! May I take you out to eat tonight?" Then he smiled and looked at her.

Andra attempts to slap Birdgod in the face, but the Chiru is barely able to dodge backward in time.
"No thank you. For your information, I am married, and have three wonderful daughters."

Birdgod said "that's why you look so pretty. Sorry I didn't even think to notice the ring." Then he told the others "I'm just gonna go sleep in a nest outside now. If you need me whistle and leave the window open." Then he turned into a bird and flew outside to build a nest.
